“Expanding tactics for Listening” provides a comprehensive course in listening comprehension by buiding active listening and thinking skills. The book contains 25 colorful, two – page units which can be  completed in a 50 – minute class period each. Realistic, humorous dialogues feature music and sound effects to motivate students as they encounter a wide variety of entertaining, tast – based activities wich provide graded practice in listening. It can be used as the basic of an extensive listening course as a complementary text in a conversation course or as the basis for a language laboratory course.
