Caught Reading: Assessment Manual
Caught Reading is a highly successful, comprehensive program that provides a balanced approach of skills and literature–based instruction. The program consists of eight levels, beginning at Pre-Literacy and ending at a fourth-grade reading level. Students will learn new skills and become confident readers as they move through each level of the program.

Caught Reading is a highly successful, comprehensive program that provides a balanced approach of skills and literature–based instruction. The program consists of eight levels, beginning at Pre-Literacy and ending at a fourth-grade reading level. Students will learn new skills and become confident readers as they move through each level of the program.Caught Reading captures students’ interest with content that is age-appropriate and captivating. Regardless of their reading level, students will build upon basic skills and achieve real reading!Every Worktext lesson includes a high–interest, completely decodable story for students to read. Skill-based lessons provide word attack, spelling, and vocabulary work before the story and comprehension afterward. Free lessons allow students to read a story without having to learn or apply new skills. This gives them the chance to develop confidence and fluency.
